Dr Lénárd is a doctor of internal medicine and a specialist in the field of rehabilitation medicine. She has worked in the Hungarian public healthcare system for over 35 years in numerous roles, ranging from ambulance and emergency care to general practice.
She is currently also the administrator of “1001 doctors without parasolvency”, an advocacy group on Facebook collecting more than 3000 physicians who wish to stand up for a transparent and corruption-free healthcare system in Hungary. This group serves as a platform and forum for Hungarian doctors for duscussing problems they want to address and form their shared opinion on matters such as the parasolvency-system, the lack of psychiatric care, or avoiding hospital infections. While membership is only open to physicians, the group’s activity and discussions are open to the general public and also followed and reported on by Hungarian media on a regular basis.
