Reproductive justice and access to abortion in the Czech Republic
Report on the accessibility of abortion in the Czech Republic, conducted by the Abortion Support Alliance Prague with the support of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague.
The seemingly liberal Czech abortion law has many flaws.
Does it guarantee access to abortion?
Can foreign women from the European Union undergo the procedure here, considering that when the law was created, neither the EU nor the Czech Republic existed?
What does the Ministry of Health and the Medical Chamber think about this issue?
And what about people with disabilities?
The Abortion Support Alliance Prague collective decided to look into this situation. For the second time, and now with the support of Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague, they conducted independent research on the accessibility of abortions, contacting nearly 80 hospitals. The result is the second edition of the report 'Reproductive Justice and Access to Abortion in the Czech Republic.' This year's research is expanded to include accessibility for people with disabilities, which is covered in a dedicated chapter.
