The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague office is welcoming applications for the open position Communications and Web Manager as of 1st January 2022. The deadline for applications is 15th December 2021. The job location is Prague. The position is part-time (25 hours/week).

The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is a political foundation affiliated with the German Green Party. We are a green think tank, an international policy network for green visions and projects. Headquartered in Berlin we have more than 30 offices around the world. Our main tenets are ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice. We place particular emphasis on gender democracy, meaning social emancipation and equal rights for women and men. The Prague office of the foundation carries out activities in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

Communication and Web Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the communication strategy for the Prague Office, for effective dissemination of information about the activities and programmes of the Foundation.

The Communications and Web Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Proactively planning and organizing media coverage of the projects, activities and topics of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung;
  • Further development and implementation of social media strategy as well as development of its monitoring and evaluation;
  • Managing the Foundations’ web page: www.cz.boell.org;
  • Managing  and updating the Foundations’ social media channels (Facebook, Youtube, Soundcloud, Twitter, Instagram) in Czech and in English with the usage of text, photo, audio, and video materials;
  • Regularly preparing and presenting the statistical analysis of the web page and social media channels through Google Analytics and other analytical tools;
  • Preparing a regular newsletter and distributing it to subscribers;
  • Communicating with journalists and media houses concerning collaboration, media partnerships etc.;
  • Advising and supporting program coordinators and the head of office concerning media projects and all media-related issues;
  • Coordinate and be responsible for the graphic and content of marketing / communication materials;

Requirements:

  • Higher education diploma;
  • minimum 2 years of work experience in the fields of external communication, online media, journalism or copywriting;
  • oral and written fluency in Czech and English, (German, Slovak or Hungarian language skills of advantage);
  • IT literacy (editorial systems, graphic and audio-visual applications);
  • solution-oriented & flexible;
  • strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • good team player;
  • ability to work independently and responsibly in an international team;
  • general awareness about gender democracy; ecology, human rights;
  • a genuine interest in the values and mission of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung;
