Transportation

The Prague office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation is easily accessible by public transport.
We are located at Jugoslávská 16, Prague 2, just a short walk from two well-known squares: Náměstí Míru (a metro Line A station and major tram stop) and I. P. Pavlova (a metro Line C station and tram hub).

Prague’s public transport (PID) marks wheelchair-accessible vehicles and stations with the international wheelchair symbol alongside route numbers or accessibility info. This helps users find suitable connections easily.

For more details, visit the official PID website: https://www.dpp.cz/en/travelling/barrier-free-travelling

Here are three easy ways to get to the Heinrich Böll Foundation office:

Option 1: Metro Line C (Red) – I. P. Pavlova

  • Take Metro Line C to I. P. Pavlova
  • The I. P. Pavlova station is equipped with escalators from the platform to the vestibule. From the vestibule to the street level, there are escalators only going up. The station has a barrier-free elevator located near the corner of Legerova and Rumunská streets
  • From the metro exit, you can walk, it’s just a 350-meter to our office, Alternatively, take tram 4, 6, 10, 16, or 22 (look for the international wheelchair symbol on the timetables), ride one stop to Náměstí Míru, and walk 170 meters to the office

Option 2: Tram from the city centre

  • From Wenceslas Square or Karlovo náměstí, take Tram 10, 16 or 22 toward I. P. Pavlova or Náměstí Míru (look for the international wheelchair symbol on the timetables)
  • Get off at I. P. Pavlova or Náměstí Míru our office is located between this two squares
  • Our office is just around the corner

Option 3: Metro Line A (Green) – Náměstí Míru

  • Take Metro Line A to Náměstí Míru
  • The station has escalators from the platform to the vestibule. From the vestibule to the street level, there are only fixed stairs
  • Exit the station and walk down Jugoslávská Street
  • Our building is about a 3-minute walk from the square

Accessing our building

Our office is located on the third floor. The building has an elevator.
However, the entrance is not fully wheelchair-accessible — there is one step between the building entrance and the elevator.

Upon request, we can provide a parking space for people with disabilities.

Our office unfortunately does not have wheelchair-accessible toilets.
