Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague publishes a new comic book "How to Design a City for Life?", which presents 8 areas in which more efficient planning can increase the city’s resilience. The chapters provide basic insight into topics such as energy systems, urban gardening, water retention or green transit, and the comic book could be a useful tool for local council employees, schools or activists.

Tato studie zkoumá hnědouhelné regiony v České republice a Německu. Odpovídá na otázky, jak se tyto regiony mohou hospodářsky udržitelně a sociálně spravedlivě vyvíjet. Studie vychází z diskusí česko-německé expertní skupiny, jejíž členky a členové disponují rozsáhlými zkušenostmi z oblasti národních vlád, veřejné správy, energetického sektoru, odborů, vědy a občanské společnosti v obou zemích.
Hnědé uhlí je pro klima nejškodlivějším fosilním palivem. Jeho těžba dlouhodobě poškozuje přírodu, kulturní krajiny a hydrologické systémy. Obnova těchto krajin ale vytváří příležitosti pro hospodářský a společenský rozvoj.
