Job vacancy: Office and Event Manager

The Prague office of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung welcomes applications for the new position of Office & Event Manager starting on March 13, 2023. The deadline for applications is February 19, 2023.

The place of work is Prague. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), but can be also carried out in part-time (32 hours per week). Monthly gross salary for full-time is 43.000 CZK.

Job vacancy: Office and Event Manager

The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is a political foundation affiliated with the German Green Party. We are a green think tank and international political network for green visions and projects, based in Berlin and with more than 30 offices worldwide. Our main principles are ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice. We place special emphasis on social emancipation and equal rights for women and men. The Prague office is responsible for projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.


Main job description:

  • Overall organization of the office (creating and managing folders, team calendar, office equipment, mail, etc.)
  • Internal and external communication (general correspondence, telephone, e-mails)
  • Event organization (rental, catering, invoices, planning)
  • Coordination of events with the relevant colleagues and external suppliers
  • Contact person for IT matters in consultation with the IT department in Berlin and the local IT consultant
  • Order management (price comparison, offer search, purchase, payment orders)
  • Organization of business trips for the team (organization, documentation, reservations)
  • Management of the cash register and records of cash payments
  • Contact database management
  • Additional assistance to the office director


We require:

  • Experience in administration, office and/or event management
  • At least three years of work experience
  • Oral and written fluency in Czech and English, knowledge of the German language is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills, focus on detail
  • Flexibility and solution orientation
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly in an international team
  • Genuine interest in the values and mission of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung
