The Prague office of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is looking for suitable candidates (m/f/d) for the position of the Coordinator of the Ecology program from March 15, 2023 (or as agreed). It is a full-time (40 h) position terminated for one year (substitution for a person on parental leave) with the possibility of further cooperation. The place of work is Prague. Gross salary is 45,000 CZK.

The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung is a political foundation ideologically related to the German Green Party. We are a green think tank and international political network for green visions and projects that is based in Berlin and runs more than 30 offices worldwide. Our main principles are ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, justice and solidarity. We place special emphasis on gender democracy, i.e. social emancipation and equal rights for women and men. The Prague office supports and implements projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Main job description:
-
planning, implementation and monitoring of cooperation projects and the foundation's own activities within the Ecology program
-
Focus topics: sustainable and socially just energy transformation and public and political debate about climate issues
-
Formats: mainly publications, public debates, round tables, study trips, media outputs, etc.
-
analysis of ongoing political, economic and public debates in the region within the program
-
monitoring and evaluation of the program
-
establishing and maintaining relationships with partner organizations in the region
-
advice, coordination and consultation with partners during the implementation of specific activities
-
budget management and control of expenses associated with project implementation
-
assistance with compiling annual reports and documentation of program activities for providers of financial resources
We expect:

completed university education or comparable qualification
-
at least three years of work experience (ideally in international organizations, non-governmental or state sector, media or similar)

excellent knowledge of Czech language; knowledge of English language (C1 or higher), knowledge of further language (German, Slovak, Hungarian) is an advantage

Good knowledge about the topic of sustainable energy transformation and climate change
-
political-analytical competence and the ability to implement projects

experience with management of public funds and budgets
-
the ability to work independently
-
a sense of team work, good communication skills

willingness to go on business trips, also abroad

interest in gender democracy and diversity issues
