Ms Sibai was born into a Czech-Syrian family. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a painter. She spent most of her life in the Syrian city of Homs. After studying medicine in Damascus, she moved to Egypt, where she experienced the Arab Spring. After war broke out in Syria, the family decided to move back to the Czech Republic, as part of her family was killed during the military conflict. She is a doctor and a member of the initiative called Czechs Help, which is committed to supporting refugees in the Czech Republic.
